That could be argued as right turn?

Do they have a major problem with vehicles parking on the central reservation? :)

Yes, in the Midlands they do !! In a throwback to the old tram route days, it's quite common for the central reservation to be used for legitimate parking where the tram tracks used to run - so some think they can park on any central reservation.

This botch annoyed me when I was in Glasgow a month ago - not only the incorrect "Pass either side to reach same destination" but also the absence of any No Entry signs to prevent drivers from going straight on.

Zoom back to the roundabout for an incorrect "Keep left" bollard.

And how about these high level speed limit signsat Blandford Forum. Actually they look even more silly on the other side.

Love the positioning of this sign - perfectly sensible from the track the other side of the fence, but looks really odd when crossing the bridge!

On the Flintham over-bridge here http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=53.01 ... 8&layers=M

Well, there's also the fact that speed limits don't apply on a driveway (on the assumption it's not part of the public highway) and regardless of which it seems to suggest you can do 60 (I can't see any street lighting) unless you're accessing the property. :?

I wonder why they didn't get a proper No Entry sign though... whoops.

That's a lot of additional unhelpful information there for the motorist...!

Not botched, but keep where?

Another one from Portsmouth

Finally, thanks to Portsmouth City Council butchery elsewhere, this sign says that a merging lane becomes a running lane when it doesn't, but it looks like it would. Surely that's quite bad?

Like with most of Wolverhampton, it gives you a frosty reception and leaves you feeling rather cold!

I can't check Streetview right now, but if that's where I think it is - heading towards the ferry having come from the west, the merge not long before the roundabout to turn off at - I actually pulled into that merging lane and then realized I had to pull out of it again. It doesn't look at all like the lane is going to merge until you're almost at the end of it. I don't remember seeing any signage about that merge either (lane merging or lane gain).

Very annoying for someone who always makes an effort to not middle lane

Edit: Yes it is the same place. I had actually seen that on Pathetic Motorways a long time ago, but obviously didn't remember that well enough at the time...

My other half lives about a mile from that bit of road. Out of all the times I've driven past that I've never really noticed it, until now.

Anyway, slightly further south... Not botched signals, I just have an issue with one of them. http://goo.gl/maps/pSWj

I must have driven past it hundreds of times. On Saturday I was a passenger !

A bit of dodgy painting on the road, and some dodgy reporting by the local rag...

Just seen this one on the BBC News Torch Relay pictures. Is that right?

Oh dear, lettering has been exposed to radiation and turned into a Godzilla...

If that lettering was much bigger, it would be breaking its own rule. :P
