A108 Griggs Approach

Post by t1(M) »

I went to Ilford, and found that the supposed A108 is not shown as such on any road signs there. One, leading from Ilford High Road, numbers it as the A1083 (which makes sense as an extension of Green Lane), but all the other signs show it as uncalssified ("leading to" the A12). was it planned tonumber the whole link as the A108, and something - local opposition perhaps, stopped it.
So the A108 is another missing road
Griggs, by the way, was Ilford's first MP - you can readall you ever wanted to know about Ilford (and much more!) here
