Homemade M1 Signs

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Looks like that looper that keeps putting up signs on the M1 (saying "Road not paid for" "Fingal Council have not paid for this road" etc etc.) is at it again.

He's becoming very artistic too. I was very impressed by his staggered signs that were placed about 30 feet from each other, very easy on the eye.

Does anyone know who this aggrieved lunatic is and how he was short-changed by the council??

lol! Anyone seen these signs? Wonder what his problem is.

Hilarious. Any pics?

And to note, he IS true. The Irish government didn't pay for the M1 - they gave the contractors the toll for 50 years instead...

Actually thats untrue. It was a PPP project - but only for the Drogheda bypass. - In return the company had to pay for the Dundalk bypass and maintain the motorway from Lissenhall to Dundalk.

Nope my best guess is he is a disgruntled land owner. He may have genuine grievances or he could just be a nut.

Ahh, yes I forgot it was built as different projects - unlike the likes of the M3 which is being done in one go (How's it going btw?)

He could well be - interesting though. I wonder what the signs look like..

The M3 is coming along fast. It will be completed at least 10 months ahead of schedule some reckon next year. Thats private sector efficiency for you! Shame about the tolls - I wont be using it.

Im interested in seeing these signs aswell. If anyone gets a snap please post.
