Is it the M48 between Chepstow and Magnor.

I suspect that some clever cropping is hiding an important clue... Back to the drawing board

I'm afraid that the image has not been edited at all either. Sorry Chris, but your guess is much colder than MrEd's attempt.

I reckon you are on Painter's Forstal Road, looking east onto the M2

By looking at the bridge in the distance I believe It's a motorway built in the 60's. Had also thought M2 but couldn't place it

Now that the answer is given I'll say how I found it. I initially thought the same as Chris Bertram and looked at the area around M50 J3 as the forest is almost identical however the house has a distinct southeast feel to it so then I turned my attention to the M2 and M26 and it was only a matter of time before I found a house next to a bridge.

I had a good look at both the M26 and M2 but somehow missed it. :(

Like Truv the house suggested to me the south east so I took a stab at the M2, but a trawl through GE didn't get me anywhere to start with. I figured it was looking east because of the shadows. So I got out my Phillip's road atlas and found a stretch of the motorway with a left then a right curve after a bridge in that direction, checked GE, and bingo!

That's the right country but can you (or anybody else) kindly be more specific?

I assume the grey structure really exists and isn't doctored.
