Going to go for a wild fire guess of Mount Rushmore !

Why ? The place is a guess based on the image was loaded using a .us domain, it looks like a developed attraction, it looks like it could be a one way exit from the attraction... Could be completely off target though ;-)

I'll be a bit more parochial with Warwick Castle

Looks familiar, but then there's a million places around here that look kinda like that. I've never been there, so I'm going to guess Clovelly.

That was my first thought, but I can't find anywhere around there that matches.

So far "Warwick Castle" is the nearest according to directions given on Google Maps.

I'll have a stab at the Symonds Yat rock viewpoint although I can't find a precise location.

Symonds Yat and Portmeirion are colder.

The road is blocked by bollards at each end.

It's not Alton Towers, is it?

Actually, it does look surprisingly like Keele University - but I wouldn't call that a tourist attraction!

Not Alton Towers or Keele University.

I was south of Warwick Castle.

Wild stab in the dark.... Cheddar Gorge?
