I don't recognise either of them. If it's a road from your area, that's not surprising as I've barely gone anywhere near it. :(

Aye, they're both near me (which is why I tend to shy away from photo quizzes for the most part). Just as a wee clue, the first photo was zone 9, now zone 8 and the second photo has always been in zone 9 but up until a few years ago, carried a number beginning with 8.

Both photos have been correctly identified via PM.

I'm currently working on a map quiz so once I post that in a few days. If no-one else works out the location of these photos by then, I'll put the reveal in the thread.

Wild guess - is the second one on the Kincardine Bridge? That's the only road related object I can think of that's about the right age for something of that style.

Just in case anyone was curious, the first photo was correctly identified by novaecosse as the B867 (old A9) just north of Bankfoot.

I drove down this way to show my friend the "danger" sign that lurks near the railway bridge.
