Two questions.
I can only mark on the first though.

1: Where am I?
2: What's the point of that yellow box?

We're here. There's a waiting area for something a little way along (one of those little seafront trains?) so perhaps it's a turning point or something.

A bus stop with a picture of a lemon on it.

Baffling.

Truvelo got in 12 minutes before crb11.
I'm not sure if it's Kings Road or Grand Junction there (Google Maps not known for reliability)

It's not an emergency access, though they are yellowed boxed iirc. This has a railing in the way.
It can't be a stopping area for a road train, since it's you know... a yellow box.
Turning point? Your exit isn't clear, since you will be exiting from where you currently are. Though the exit will be clear, it's not at the point you enter and may not be, since someone may be right behind you. Also, it's a box not a rounded shape for turning.

Solo motorcycles, I think.

Why can they park in the bay? I suppose because they take up less room than a car.

Solo motorcycles, it's hardly an uncommon road marking, although usually correctly punctuated.
