I have uploaded some photos of some roads in Tenerife to the "Other European Roads" gallery, that I took last week while I was over there. Let me know what you think of them. :)

In the last few years they have built a new link road in Santa Cruz. At one time driving from Renia Sofia airport to purto de la cruz you had to almost drive into the centre of Santa cruz then pull off, drive up a d2 with roundabouts etc, then back on to the motorway towards laguna. They have now built a motorway between the two, and it's very impresive and very steep and twisty. Motorways in Tenerfide are mainly D2 apart from a D4 coming out of Santa Cruz to laguna. Limits are 120 kmh. Services consist of petrol staitions with cafes. Most sections have a hard shoulder except the early sections around Los Rodeos airport and Laguna, and based on the geography of the country have very steep sections, but only one tunnel and one split sections al la M6.

Most people in this country only see the section between the Airport and Las Americas, but we stay in the north and hire a car from the airport, and the driving is very interesting.
