OK, here it is then. Which of the 13 winners of the 2007 Photos of the Month should be crowned Photo of the Year and displayed on the masthead over the Festive Season?

The entries are the first thirteen in this gallery:

http://www.sabre-roads.org.uk/gallery/t ... ?album=205

Don't forget that there's one on Page 2 - especially because it's mine :read:

This poll will last for 14 days and close at approx. 9 pm on Tuesday 18 December.

Edit 6/12/07: I've moved this topic into B&I Roads for the duration of the poll so nobody can say they have missed it! The voting has been surprisingly slow so far.

LOL! We all know what's on your mind, Peter... ;)

Anyway, I chose Truvelo's photo of the M56. As well as being a great photo, it's the picture that I feel best represents SABRE.

The three that stand out for me are Kylesku Bridge, Glen's Thames bridge and the abandoned A48. Don't know what to vote for yet.

I voted for Simon's B862 one from last month - well actually my wife did on my behalf, although even she was torn between two (that and Glen's Thames bridge pic)

I went for Glen's Thames Bridge - As I thought this was the best taken picture.

Hmm, for some reason, I'm not able to vote - the site just shows me the results, and yet, I haven't voted in this topic (indeed, last time I logged in, this topic didn't exist!). Has anybody else had the same problem, or is it just me? :?

EDIT: Is it perhaps some permissions issue, due to polls not being allowed (for us regular users at least) in the B&IR forum?

Ditto here. Just the bar graphs, and I haven't voted yet.

Yes, it's a permissions issue. It should be fixed now. Sorry about that.

Let us know if you're still having problems.

I wondered where this poll had disappeared too  !

It was another difficult choice for me. We have had some excellent photo of the month’s this year and there certainly isn’t many there that I wouldn’t personally be happy to vote for. I just hope we can continue the same high standards of pictures into next year.

In the end it was another juggle between two, but Truvelo’s M56 picture had to get my vote. It been one of my favourite photo of the month’s for this year. I also agree with jcpren that it represents SABRE perfectly. Also considering I only live about three/four miles away from the very spot this was taken, I felt I had to vote for it! I see at this moment in time, it’s currently in the lead too!

** BUMP **

Only 4 days to go, and still very close at present.

I'm sure well over 46 people have voted in past Photo of the Month polls.

Has to be the M56 one.
It has everything there... but best of all it has SOX streetlights!

BUMP

Remember the poll ends tonight. I went for the M56 one in the end. Nice to see that a couple of people have voted for mine - especially as it wasn't Haymans who went for the Croyde one!

I won't have access to a computer for a couple of days, so (unless of course there is a last minute rush of votes for my Kylesku Bridge photo) can I offer my congratulations in advance to Truvelo for his winning POTY shot. As a number of people have said, as a banner representative of SABRE, it works superbly.

And thank you to everyone who voted for my shot, both in the October POTM contest and this time round (and for giving me a bit of hope throughout the last week or so that I might still have pipped Truvelo to the post!)

Ian

It looks like I'm the winner

Thanks to all who voted.

When I took the picture 7 years ago I had no idea Sabre existed. I took the picture simply because those streetlights are becoming rare on motorways and I expected them to be replaced which did happen about 5 years later. I think the same gantry signs are still there.
