Halstead, was I right in the fact that it's not Leighton Buzzard? You've said nay to every other answer except mine.

It isn't Leighton Buzzard but Skiddaw05 has PM-ed me the correct answer so far. :)

Is this a public road or in a private estate like Woburn Safari Park or Whipsnade Zoo?

The road is public to all.

Are you going to put the others out of their misery? I would have thought the fact that I'd got it would have been a bit of a giveaway!

So it's in Norfolk?

Is it Great Yarmouth?

Good point, after all it has been a week. Brace yourselves everyone for the mystery location is Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk.

Firstly well done to Skiddaw05 for the correct answer  and for those who thought it was Leighton Buzzard, it was the Wells Harbour Railway, a short 10.25 inch gauge line connecting Pinewoods Caravan Site with the town centre. I've even a photo of Howard, the resident locomotive.

Another photo may follow shortly

...or perhaps not.

Aargh. I had looked at Wells-Next-The-Sea but hadn't gone northwards to find railway lines.

I've another fresh WAI for august, clues will be provided if unanswered and the Truvelo rule applies as well.

It's not going in to Bedford on the A603, is it?

I'm sorry Matthew but you're far from correct.

Looks to me like that is was meant to be a major road, but is instead just an industrial estate access road or the like - the parked vehicles and the Give Way ahead sign give me that idea.

As there are no replies since tuesday I'll provide an extra clue. This road used to be a primary route.

Is it then, somewhere in Cornwall?

God, I am hopeless at these things!

That's still awfully cold. To make things slightly easier RoadKill has PMed me the correct answer. :)

Right as nobody in this thread gave me a correct reply in a week I'll be revealing the answer.

The mystery location is Old London Road, better as known as the old A21 looking east; the current route is to the left bound for the M25.

Behind however was this cycle post with the destinations in block capital which was incorrect (as with all the other posts in Pratts Bottom) here.

And finally well done to RoadKill for supplying me with the exact location.

Here's one for september, the usual Truvelo rule applies and the answer will be revealed in a week if unsolved.

Is it the A25 west of Oxted?
