It's that time again, folks. Nominations will be open for six days, and will close at around 2pm on Sunday 25th October.

Place your entries here:

Good luck!

That's a huge sign to convey so little information :P

Well, it is arguably the most significant junction on the island, being the split for the Skye and Barra ferries, so you wouldn't want to miss the turning! Anyway, we haven't had a sign theme for a while, so I think we're due for one...

I've gone for the shot of the car making a splash in the ford. It's one of those comparatively unusual SABRE road photos where the photo makes you appreciate the sheer fun of driving on one of our quieter and more interesting roads, and the photo also beautifully captures the moment where the splash is at its biggest.

Ditto, but in addition it has a format that will work best in the banner.

I'm Happy. I got a vote, with a foreign one.

It's extremely close this month. After several months of having one picture as a clear winner it looks like we might need a run off vote if the two leaders stay this close.

At least mine has some votes this month after receiving a big fat zero last month. All I need now is a dozen extra votes or so to take me into the lead. I'll give anyone who votes for mine a free drink at the next awayday :drink:

Nice to see mine doing quite well, even if it has lost the lead for now. :P

In the age old tradition of not voting for my own, I went for the ABC sign. Whilst the ford picture is good, I'm not too sure about having two fording pictures in a row - especially as, IMO, the current banner photo is better.

PMSL :D

I read SABRE a lot more than I post, though clearly not previous pic of month threads :D

I have the forum as a favourite so never look at the home page and didn't know what last month's pic was.

Stumbled across this thread last weekend and just thought 'I have a good pic that might work here'.

Two ford pics in a row would be weird

It is a good pic though. My mum told me so :D

If jon's photo wins, then there's a moderate unlikely chance we could score a fording hattrick. Thank you the nice compliment.

Yeah, that's 'cos the SMT have to edit the opening post to change that, and we tend to have other stuff to do at weekends. It's sorted now, and I'll get the new picture in place ASAP.

Well done, David!
