After thinking about the Hammersmith flyover & the likely ensueing Olympics fiasco a thought popped up.. Are there any roads every member have driven or travelled along?
...I hope others can add options too.

I think that most of us will have travelled through/past the road 'landmarks', though I bet that 99% of those journeys were not related to SABRE. But there are one or two random locations thrown in there - what's the significance of M1 J28 or M25 J1, for example?

I imagine most will have been on the M1 at some point.

Well, the latter doesn't exist. Both J1A and J1B are on the A282.

I was trying to pick the most likely sections... Off A1m or M1 in those.#

Perhaps I should have doen a poll of roads sabre members havn't driven along come to think of it David :)

Mark, a specific place on a road

Nowster... OK!

After placing my vote, the only option that appeared to have been selected by all voters thus far was M62 Over Pennines. So, if anyone on SABRE can say that they've never travelled that road, then the answer will be no - unless there's a more popular road that's not listed! :)

I don't know, maybe all Sabristi *have* travelled the M62. The poll's interesting anyway, to see which roads are most popular.

 maybe travelling over the M62 should be a prerequisite of membership...
I worked in Leeds in 1998, and at the weekends I wasn't home, would go for a tour in the Nova. The M62 tour included Scammonden Bridge.

Would the poll be better in reverse, Road you have not travelled over. This would give a definitive vote. ( double -ve). If any road remained Zero

I was just about to say that. :)

Also, isn't the Dartford Crossing and M25/A282 J1A/B more or less the same thing?

Sorry to be the party-pooper, but I have never travelled the M62 over the Pennines.

What do you mean - M4 Severn Bridge?

I've crossed the M4 Severn Bridge - but people haven't been able to do so for years as it's now the M48 Severn Bridge.

Or do you mean the M4 Second Severn Crossing (which I haven't done)?

I've only done two on the list. Gretna Green and Scotch Corner.

Taking a line connecting Preston and York, I can only recall 4 times when I've driven south of that line*.

Putting aside the M25 J1 comment above, I do believe I've driven past/through all of the options.

I also have been through all the options either as a driver or passenger.

Me too! Don't think I have even been a passenger either.

I've done all 12. I will score another pedant point too - the Hammersmith Flyover is a couple of miles away from the M4. It's on the A4.
