Nominations for Photo of the Month for April 2012 are now open.

The photo which wins the contest will be displayed in full on the SABRE index page and cropped to fit the "banner" in the top right for the duration of the month.

The only rule is that the photo, and any subsequent work, must be entirely your own. Photos where this is evidently not the case will not be accepted for voting.

Only one entry per person will be accepted.

If you think another member's photo is suitable then please encourage them to enter it.

To enter a photo, then please use this link to add it to the gallery. Make sure that the gallery is still ticked before submitting it.

You can view the current gallery contents here.

If you need any help adding one of your photos, please ask in this thread.

To allow sufficient time to upload and vote for photos in time for me to edit the site, nominations will close on 24th March, at around 11pm. The poll will be created shortly afterwards. Voting will then be open until 31st March, after the poll has closed the photo will appear on the site within a few days.

Hopefully anything other than a Scottish bridge will be the next PotM.

January's photo wasn't a Scottish bridge, although it was in Scotland and was taken from a bridge. :P

Maybe we should just ban all pictures from north of the border? I see there's three already submitted for this month's POTM.

And in response, I've provided another picture taken from a bridge. But I promise it's not Scottish.

Does being taken by a Scot not invest it with a degree of Scottishness? :stir:

Don't bother, just insist on works permits ,when Salmond gets independence ,( oh-a full repatriation of exiles might be nice too) .I've got some decent pics of non bridges, that they might like, but if we do that, they'll :D all go flocking north come June, and clog up the roads :D

And , Kenny, like me, you're technically a sassenachs, but that's because only one parent was born south of the line, ( but then all his ancestors were born in the
north)and al my other ancestors are of highland stock ,so I'm possibly a Highlander with roots in the south. :D ( Bit like my dog, his ancestors come from Skye, but he 's from Devon) . :D

Good photos there already. Can't help liking the lighting on the shots of the Craigellachie Bridge and A93: Sorry England. (But at the least Telford died there.)

I thought that as my entry was a night-time shot of a Scottish Bridge it would be a sure-fire winner  , but I'm not so sure now! I really wanted to enter the picture below, but I thought it was too dark for the front page, so went with the close up of the north end instead.
File:Crglche-br5.jpg Sorry, the photo is over 640 pixels so won't load in here.
