Nominations for Photo of the Month for June 2012 are now closed.

The photo which wins the contest will be displayed in full on the SABRE index page and cropped to fit the "banner" in the top right for the duration of the month.

The only rule is that the photo, and any subsequent work, must be entirely your own. Photos where this is evidently not the case will not be accepted for voting.

Only one entry per person will be accepted.

If you think another member's photo is suitable then please encourage them to enter it.

To allow sufficient time to upload and vote for photos in time for me to edit the site, nominations will close on 24th May, at around 9pm. The poll will be created shortly afterwards. Voting will then be open until 31st May, after the poll has closed the photo will appear on the site within a few days.

Core, the Elizabeth bridge sure does look quite ugly in poor weather (not the fault of the photographer of course, it is quite a good shot of it). Other then that some pretty nice images so far. I'll have to seriously consider whether I should back my own upload or not.

Without even looking at the gallery, I vote for the Scottish bridge.

There isn't one yet. A fairly good pic of an English-Welsh bridge, though.

Quite a few 'deserted' pics this month. The current POTM has the same sort of character as well.

It's less hassle. You don't need to blank out number plates or worry about people complaining because they're identifiable in the photos.

Shouldn't this thread be set to stay at the top of the 'All Topics'board until the poll has closed?

Dunno, there must be a road in Scotland that looks similar, possibly Rest and be Thankful although the trees are wrong.

Incidentally, the buildings in my photo are scheduled to be demolished sometime next year and a Metrolink tram and bus interchange is to be built on the site.

Five of us (over half) had photos that got fewer votes than Paspie's photo. You're getting better.

I'm quite impressed an offhand photo on my iPhone came third, though I voted for the SSC photo.
