Philips MA50 (gear-in-head) on an S&L column62 viewsThis is the only surviving S&L column on this stretch of Canterbury Road in Birchington. I took this shot more for the column than the lantern, but the MA50 looks rather nice on S&L columns, so I thought I might as well shoot the whole installation. There were others at some point - I can remember three others, with an Alpha 3, SGS203 and Alpha 1 installed respectively, but they were replaced by various lanterns over the years, such as WRTL Arcs, CU Phosco P678s and WRTL MRL6s.
