The filled in treeless cutting beyond the Hockley lights, can be seen in the distance, to the left of Twyford Down cutting on the M3. The bridge I'm on is roughly where the A31 used to be, leaving the A33 at a GSJ on its way to Romsey. The original A33 also carried on via Otterbourne until 1967, when the D2 to Southampton opened.
