Signage in the tiny town of Ballyhack Co Wexford250 viewsThe sign is funny. It points straight across Waterford Harbour at the sister town of Passage East in county waterford. Good luck driving that! murphaph (wikified)

R134 West Dublin272 viewsApproaching the new R136 (outer orbital). The panel for the left turn was covered over and you can still see the lazy attempt to remove the plastic sheeting from it!
The outer orbital s useful(ish) though. It'll be a LOT busier when it's northen end is connected to the N4 (currently under construction). Lots of new roads like this ae being built/planned for west Dublin to allow development proceed. All badly needed I might add. The road network around here is hundreds of years old!murphaphUpload to wiki

R120 Rathcoole Inorrect265 viewsThis lower sign is really interesting. Apart from the fact it should of course be a patch on the map sign above, it does not conform to the Traffic Signs Manual. The upper test is incorrect as the letter 'a' does not exist in that form in the Irish language. The lower text is also incorrect as it should all be uppercase transport, not mixed case as we have here. murphaph (wikified)

More Non-existant Gaelic lettering405 viewsFollowing on from some Irish signs using the wrong type of "A" or "a" on their signs, I thought I'd show a better known culprit just outside Dún Laoghaire Harbour.antster1983 (wikified)

Concrete streetlights, Dublin302 viewsA row of old unsleeved concrete streetlights along Wilton Terrace by the Grand Canal. It is a bit of a surprise that these lights haven't been sleeved over the past years though some of them have concrete crumbling away (spalling) the third column is seen to have been patched over with tape. The lanterns are of the top entry style. These will probably go in the next few years being swapped with the silver reproduced "heritage" streetlights which currently dominate the streets of Dublin.DorsetWay (wikified)
