Old A303/current A358121 viewsLooking south at the former A303/A358 junction near Horton. The A303 went from the left and then right at the junction in the background. The A358 from Taunton came out in the foreground, then right and straight ahead in the background. Both were mini rbts, now removed. The black & white island is the only survivor of these. The A358 now follows the A303 route round the bend and, on to its original route, hence the changed priorities now.SteveA30 (wikified)

Left for A390120 viewsThe A390 will probably become a dead end from here, as the new route from the rbt is just ahead, beyond the white lorry in the distance, bypassing the low rly. bridge as well.SteveA30 (wikified)

12. Old A30118 viewsDownhill lorries had to go very wide to allow space for uphill ones like this. Locals coming out of the 2 turns also had to hold back from the line to keep their front wings intact!SteveA30 (wikified)

Old A30118 viewsLooking towards er, London. Just beyond the trees, its lost under a local GSJ for the Black Dam housing and the current D2 A30 continues online to the A33/A339 rbt. It seems almost impossible that this tarmac once heaved under continuous traffic day & night, for both A30 & A33, from London to the West Country and the South Coast. Bypassed June 1971 and rerouted within another 2 years or so.SteveA30 (wikified)
