Pennine Way footbridge.328 viewsThe ridge on the right is Waystone Edge. Buckstones Pass is on the other side. The 'Way Stone' is a large rectangular boulder, perched on the right shoulder and visible to Westbound drivers at sunset. It would've been a rare landmark before the turnpikes were built. The pack horse routes kept to the high ground, avoiding the bogs of Moss Moor. The Oldham -Ripponden turnpike of 1795 pioneered the way for the present A672. The Pennine Way running N-S was designated a right of way in 1965.Schult (2 votes) (wikified)

New Peek Elite traffic lights in Tallaght, South Dublin237 viewsVery recently older Mellors, on Belgard Road, were replaced en-masse by new Peek Elites which appear to be in a great condition. South Dublin County Council has started to install Peek Elites again after a long hiatus so thankfully these are not Motus AluStars which are currently engulfing most of Dublin City.DorsetWay (2 votes) (wikified)

A34 M3 freeflow Winchester337 viewsHere's a very simple way of making the the A34 freeflow onto the M3 without any major alterations to the existing road network. There's enough space in the A33/A34 split for a new road to be built through the middle and this simply joins the M3 at the North side of J9. The only alterations required are lengthening the existing North facing J9 slips to allow the new freeflow to be built beneath. Simple eh! No buildings need demolishing either.Truvelo (2 votes) (wikified)

UK Style ADS, correct way307 viewsI've tried to correct the errors on the one previously posted. This, to my mind would be best as the sign is intended for HGV drivers only.murphaph (2 votes) (wikified)
