Roads by 10: Oddities

Long Runners
The 20 longest three-digit A-roads, with distances in miles. Amongst them are the bizarre meandering A361, the remote and stunning A836, the mighty artery A303, and the road with its own book, A272. We don't have detailed accounts of all of these yet so any help would be most welcome. Table compiled by Graham Mackay.

Gone But Not Forgotten
The numbers may be no more, but the memory lives on.

Short And Sweet
Blink and you'll miss them!

Just Plain Weird

  • A379 It's beautiful, but it makes no sense.
  • A404 The horseshoe-shaped road.
  • A414 The wriggling route that keeps changing.
  • A427 Left behind in the wrong zone.
  • A625 The road that collapsed.
