New Forest Awayday

Have a drive round the New Forest, go for a wander round the forest, have a pub lunch, discuss roads! The plan is to gather at Brook, then embark on a 28 mile circuit that will cover fords, the old railway bridge and station, a bizarre road sign, lots of bendy roads, trees and a couple of places we can park up stretch our legs.

After that, we will be back near Brook, where we can consume lunch and talk about roads and how fun the driving and walking was.

How to Get There

From the West, head along the A31 and turn left for Rufus Stone.
The last sign you see is for Cadnam, Minstead, Stoney Cross, Emery Down, Ringwood straight on; Rufus Stone left
Pub is on your right.

From the East, either leave the M27 at J1, go right on the roundabout (Fordingbridge, Brook, Bramshaw etc)
Follow that, and you'll have a junction with the Bell Inn on the right, a left turn with 6'6 limit and the pub signed.
Pub is on your left.
This route has a ford.
OR
Keep going from the M27 up the A31. Take the right turn across, stay in the acceleration lane which becomes the exit for Rufus Stone.
Pub is on your right.
