| M11 Extended to Huntingdon! | ![]() |

The M11 has been extended to Huntingdon overnight, apparently, if this map from our local rag is to be believed. I know the roads around here have been renumbered quite a lot, but this is so confused it's funny! Sorry to disappoint any of you who thought I was being serious (if only...)

The people of SABRE spake thus:
A38: That map is inaccurate on so many counts I'm not even going to comment on it, except to say what';s the point of such shite maps. If it's in a local paper (CEN/CWN yeh?), everyone reading (local) will know how to get there, anyone from outside the area won't care (and will get lost trying to use it too).

Chris5156: Where Cambridge Road ends on the M11, is there a stop or a give way sign?
There's a free paper given out on buses and trains (Metro) which has an amazing weather map. The M1 and M62 appear as two wobbly but remarkably straight lines crossing at right angles. According to the wisdom of the Metro office you can follow the M1 up through the eastern suburbs of Leeds (perhaps on the line of the A61) and onward to Newcastle by the look of things.

Rupert: <<If it's in a local paper (CEN/CWN yeh?)>> How did you guess? At least it was the free one...
<<Where Cambridge Road ends on the M11, is there a stop or a give way sign?>> No, a mini-roundabout I think. And there are traffic lights at the crossroads between the M11 and A14. There's probably a level crossing on the busy Cambridge-St Ives-Huntingdon railway line in there somewhere, too...
