In 1922 the B828 number was allocated to the short section of Invertrossachs Road from Callander west to Gartchonzie Bridge and so the A821 near Dunmore Fort. However, sometime in the late 1920s / early 1930s it was upgraded to be the A892 (see that page for more detail on the route). This survived at least until the 1970s but the road has now been downgraded once more and is unclassified.
The 1922 MOT Road List defines this route as: Callander - Dunmore Fort
