This article is about the A4073 extant in the 1950s.
For the A4073 created in 1922, see A4073 (Pembrokeshire).
For the A4073 created in 1922, see A4073 (Pembrokeshire).
The Brecknockshire incarnation of the A4073 was a short road cutting the corner between the A438 and A479, thus shortening slightly the journey between Builth Wells and Brecon.
Originally unclassified, the road became the B4344 in the mid-1920s then the A4073 in 1935. It has now been swallowed up as part of the A470, although the road's history can be seen by the fact that the A470 has to TOTSO at both ends of the ex-A4073.
