This article is about the original route of A475 between Carmarthen and Swansea.
For the present route through Carmarthenshire, see A475.
For the present route through Carmarthenshire, see A475.
The A475 once ran from central Swansea via Fforestfach, Penllergaer, Pontardulais and Cross Hands to join the A40 at Carmarthen, crossing the A48 at Penllergaer and the A476 at Cross Hands.
The southern part of this route between Swansea and Penllergaer was renumbered to A483 and the northern part from Penllergaer to Carmarthen renumbered A48, the former section of A48 running via LLanelli and Kidwelly becoming A484.
The A475 number has been re-used for the Newcastle Emlyn to Lampeter road.
