This edition of the A6013 follows what was a section of the A43 before that road was diverted to bypass Kettering.
The road starts at A14 J8, where the A43 deviates from its original route to bypass Kettering. The A6013 starts here and heads along that road's old route. We start off passing a retail park and soon reach a roundabout to serve it. The road quickly becomes residential. It heads northeastwards along Northampton Road and bends sharply right on meeting the B5323 Gypsy Lane. The road continues east past an open grassed area before going under the Midland Main Line. It ends at a roundabout on the A6003 on the far side.
