The A6029 is a short link in south Yorkshire, running from the A650 in Morley to the A653 in West Ardsley along Rein Road. It crosses the M62 half way and therefore allows traffic to avoid Tingley Interchange (J28). The road is home to Woodkirk Academy, a large secondary school.
Definitely a covert A-road in modern times as development has taken place along its stretch. Traffic is now signed to avoid this route and the A6029 number does not appear on the ground. It is festooned with road humps and has also recently been restricted to 20mph. It should obviously be declassified, but as funding would be lost Leeds City Council has little incentive to pursue this.
