The A6048 is a short A-road in the centre of Oldham. It is now largely shadowed by the town centre relief road.
The A6048 starts in Werneth, on the A62, and heads north along Featherstall Road. It crosses the A669 halfway and then reaches a roundabout on the relief road. Two of the exits here are for the A6048, the other three for the A627. Now dual carriageway, the A6048 continues another few hundred yards to end at a set of traffic lights at a TOTSO on the A671 to the north of the town centre.
