The A6080 was a short link road to the south of Corbridge.
In 1922, the A68 and A69 crossed in Corbridge. Cutting the corner between the two roads was the short A6080.
Both these roads now bypass Corbridge and their sections on the south bank of the River Tyne have been renumbered A695. The whole length of the A6080 is the point where the A695 moves from the ex-A68 to ex-A69, thus keeping traffic out of the narrow streets of Corbridge. This also explains why the A695 has to TOTSO twice in under a mile.
