Junctions on the B7068

A74(M) J17 is a junction on the A74(M), linking the motorway to the B7068 in a modified diamond arrangement. The current junction opened in September 1994 when the motorway was built.

History

Until September 1994 a fork junction existed on the old A74 slightly to the east. The fork junction was opened in 1965 with the construction of the A74 Lockerbie bypass and had a southbound exit to the B7068 into Lockerbie, and a northbound entry from the B7068. The old A74 is now the single carriageway B7076 and passes to the east of the current junction. A roundabout connecting the B7068 and the B7076 stands on the site of the former fork junction which was demolished when the motorway was built.
