The Bridge that carries the A9 across the River Tay was constructed as part of the Dunkeld Bypass. It has relieved that pretty little Cathedral City and Dunkeld Bridge, which Thomas Telford built 200 years ago. The bridge is often referred to as the Jubilee Bridge to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's silver jubilee.
The bridge has a concrete deck, carried by three spans of steel girders supported on two pairs of piers set at the edge of the river. At the southern end of the bridge, a concrete box bridge carries the A9 over the railway line. The bridges construction is featured in the documentary about the reconstruction of the A9 between Perth and Arduille
