Acton is a large town that was subsumed by London. If you ignore the recent addition of 'London' at the city's terminal stations, Acton has the most railway stations bearing a town's name with seven (North, West, East, South, Town, Central and Mainline), beating nearby Ealing's 5 and Harrow's 6. As well as being well connected by rail, Acton also boasts quite a few roads, though mostly the links are urban single carriageways, with the exception of the A40 through the northern suburbs.
