This article is about the current B11.
For the original B11, now A18, see B11 (Governers Bridge - Ramsey).
For the original B11, now A18, see B11 (Governers Bridge - Ramsey).
The B11 starts at a sharp fork junction on the A2 above the Doon Glen and climbs steeply above the main road, curving round to the south with it. The two routes then start to diverge as the B11 crosses its summit of around 220m and passes through the small village of Ballaragh. A long descent follows, the route winding gently southwards through fields before a sharper right turn. This drops it down to Laxey, which it enters as Ballaragh Road, curving round to the left to pass King Orry's Grave and end soon after, back on the A2 at a crossroads opposite the B1, Minorca Hill.
