The B1304 is a short urban B-road in North Shields. The road was originally unclassified but appears to have got its present number in 1935.
The road starts at a roundabout on the A193 and then climbs the residential Hawkeys Lane to pass through the suburbs. There are a few shops on the corner as we cross the unclassified Queen Alexandra Road at traffic lights, after which the B1304 continues along Walton Avenue. We pass Preston Cemetery on the left.
The houses become larger and then newer as we reach the centre of Preston Village. After passing Tynemouth Swimming Pool the road ends at a T-junction on the A192 just south of the A1058 roundabout.
