The B208 was a short link road to the south of Belfast. Originally unclassified, it had gained its number by 1961 but was later upgraded to become part of the A55, which it remains.
The road started on Hospital Road, the original line of the B205, in Newtownbreda and headed west along Milltown Road. After about a mile the road ended on the B23 just east of that road's bridge over the River Lagan.
