The B26 is an odd route since it is in reality two separate routes that link to the A11 (St Peter's Valley). It provides a main link for people in St Ouen, St Mary and St John to the Valley.
The road begins in the village of St Mary at a T junction with the B33 along the Rue de la Rosiere, which features some traffic calming features to keep drivers to the 20mph limit. The road meets the B53 at a crossroads with a STOP sign (despite reasonable visibility). The road continues out of the village where it meets La Rue de la Vallée (as the B54) and becomes La Route de la Vallée after a sharp left turn. Just before the NSL limit there are two speed bumps (presumably intended for traffic entering the village, however it is in both directions. The road very soon takes a sharp right turn before passing the Gigoulande Quarry.
The road enters the parish of St Peter. After an S bend, the road TOSTOs with the A11, with the B26 continuing along a tight turn up the Mont de Routeurs. It meets the B69 as the major road through a crossroads, and the B32 as the minor road, before coming to an end at a T junction with the A12.
