The B31 is a short route to the east of Onchan. It starts on the A2 to the east of the town centre, and heads south along the winding Church Road. This is one way southbound, and drops down the hill, past the church, to a TOTSO junction where it turns right onto Harbour Road. Now two-way, the route follows a long straight down to the sea, with modern housing on the left and a mixture of interwar and newer properties on the right. Immediately after crossing the Isle of Man Electric Railway at a level crossing, the route ends on the A11, King Edward Road.
