For the original B3380 in Southampton, see B3380 (Southampton).
The B3380 runs along the pre-bypass A38 through Buckfastleigh. However, the road spent some years unclassified in the interim and only gained Class II status around 1990.
The road starts at a diamond GSJ on the A38 where the A384 heads east and the B3380 heads west (although both these roads quickly end up heading more southerly). Our road quickly crosses the River Dart and goes over a mini-roundabout to enter Buckfastleigh.
The road soon meets - and bounces off - the A38 and then passes to the south of the town centre on the first Buckfastleigh bypass; the original A38 ran along the narrow Fore Street. As such our road is surprisingly rural. We then meet the present A38 once more and run alongside for the rest of the route. Back in open country a road bears off to the left to serve the westbound slip roads. Meanwhile the road continues ahead and ends where the eastbound offslip joins at a T-junction (there is no eastbound onslip). A road continues ahead towards South Brent but this has always been unclassified.
