The B4165 ran from West Bromwich town centre to Walsall town centre in southern Staffordshire. It was quickly upgraded to a northern extension of the A4031 (that road originally only ran south of West Bromwich).
The two ends of the former B4165 are now unclassified as they are part of the town centres, Churchfield has been bypassed but the rest remains A4031.
