This article is about the original B4200 mostly in Shropshire.
For the present route in the Black Country, see B4200.
For the present route in the Black Country, see B4200.
The original B4200 allocated in 1922 followed most of the direct line between Bewdley, Worcestershire, and Ludlow, Shropshire.
Starting on the A456 at Callow Hill, southwest of Bewdley, the road headed west via Cleobury Mortimer and then skirted Clee Hill before ending on the B4364 at Henley, northeast of Ludlow.
In April 1927 the road was upgraded to become most of the A4117, which it remains.
