The B4397 is a rural B-road in north Shropshire.
It starts on the B4396 on Knockin Heath. It heads east and soon crosses the A5. It then goes on to Ruyton-XI-Towns and Brownhill, where it crosses the River Perry.
The next village is Baschurch, from where the B5067 heads south. The B4397 crosses the Shrewsbury to Chester railway line at a level crossing by the long-gone Baschurch station.
The road now starts to head more northerly. After going through Marton it TOTSOs left to reach Bulton, where it crosses the A528 at a staggered crossroads. A couple of miles later it goes through Loppington before crossing the River Roden and ending on the B5063 at a T-junction near Horton.
