The A4459 was a short B-road to the east of the Cardiganshire town of Aberystwyth.
The road started on the A487 in the village of Bow Street. It headed roughly southwards for a couple of miles. There were two or three road junctions en route and one settlement, Capel Dewi. The road ended on the far side on the A44.
Originally unclassified, the B4459 gained its number in the mid-1920s. However, this number did not last long as the road was upgraded to Class I status in 1935. It became the similarly numbered A4159, which it remains.
