The B5122 is only a short, but good, B road running from the A55 at Junction 31, down to Afon-wen where it meets the A541.
From leaving the A55, the B5122 is quite straight and delightful and largely unspoilt NSL (becoming rather difficult to find in North Wales these days), set amongst fields with the occasional building. It slowly declines into the pretty village of Caerwys where the road abruptly gets a 30mph limit. After a few tight bends we find ourselves dropping down out of the village into a lovely canopy of trees and back into an NSL zone. The B5122 here becomes fairly narrow compared to what at was and there are various short bends as we drop down to where it ends, at a straightforward T-junction on the A541.
