The B517 is a short link road to the south of Dungannon. It was originally part of the A4 but gained its number when that road was downgraded following the opening of the M1 in the late 1960s.
The road starts on the A29 and heads east past the Dungannon Park football ground to leave town. We continue along the largely straight Far Circular Road across open fields. It's not long before we pass a warehouse, then end when the B34 comes in from the left; that road continues ahead along the ex-A4.
