This version of the B5477 is a short link in Wallasey. Originally part of the A551 the road dates to the 1970s when the A554 was given its present extended route.
The road starts at a small roundabout on the A554 close to Harrison Park and north of Wallasey Grove Road railway station. It heads south over the railway line then continues through Wallasey Village – a largely residential area, with shops lining most of the B5477 itself – before ending at a "not quite" roundabout junction with the A551 (traffic on the roundabout has to give way to B5477 traffic joining).
