B559 was the number allocated in 1922 to the half-mile stretch of road between Church End and Husborne Crawley in Bedfordshire which linked the B557 and A418 of the time.
Having been involved more than once in the many changes of classification and numbering which have occurred in this area – not least since the foundation of the nearby new "city" of Milton Keynes – the road was at one time part of the A507 and thus the main road south and east from M1 junction 13 - the road is today unclassified and subject to a 7.5 tonne weight limit to discourage its use by heavy goods vehicles.
