The B563 was a short link road on the western side of Bedford town centre.

It started on the B557 Cauldwell Street and headed north over the River Great Ouse before zigzagging past the Midland Station. Originally it ended on the A428 Bromham Road but it was later extended along Shakespeare Road to end on the A6 Clapham Road.

The road has since been upgraded to Class I status and is now numbered A5141.
