The B607x routes all belong to a group in or around Sheffield city centre, although the B6078 no longer exists.
The B6078 ran along Leppings Lane from the B6079 Catch Bar Lane to the A629 (now A61) Penistone Road.
When Middlewood Road (originally the A616) was downgraded to become the B6079, with Catch Bar Lane and Parkside Road upgraded the other way, from B6079 to A616, Leppings Lane was renumbered as part of a northern continuation of the B6079.
Today, with the B6079 having disappeared as a numbered through route, Leppings Lane north of Catch Bar Lane is a section of the A6102, whilst the southernmost 80 m (which were never actually numbered B6078) are now an unclassified one-way street.
