The B6269 is a short urban link in the northwest suburbs of Bradford. It was originally unclassified but had gained its number by 1932.
The road starts at a signalised TOTSO on the B6144 in the suburb of Heaton and heads northwest, descending Bingley Road. The road is initially residential but becomes semi-rural as we pass a leisure centre and the Hallmark card factory. A view over Airedale ahead soon opens out and the road bears left to lessen the gradient as it descends into the valley along Cottingley Cliffe Road. We bear to the right to enter Cottingley and end at a mini-roundabout on the B6146.
