The B7075 is a short link road in central Kirkcudbrightshire. The route starts on the A712 south west of Balmaclennan and heads north past a few houses and on across open country, passing no places of any size. It crosses fields and passes through patches of woodland, with much of the roadside lined with trees. After less than two miles of undulating terrain it crosses the Garple Burn then continues on to journey's end at a T-junction on the A702 at Trolane between St John's Town of Dalry and Bogue.
History
This route was originally left unclassified in 1922, but was later upgraded in c1925 and originally numbered as the B7000. However, it had been upgraded again and become the A769 by 1932. It retained Class I status until 1988 but had become the B7075 by 1993. As the B7000 number had been reused to the north of St John's Town of Dalry, the route could have regained its original number, with a fairly short multiplex along the A702. However, for some reason it was decided to give it a new number instead.
